Cleaning

  • Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before handling contact lenses.
  • Remove the contact lens from your eye and place it in the palm of your hand.
  • Apply enough solution to bathe the lens and rub well for 15-20 seconds.

Rinsing

  • After cleaning the lens, rinse with solution to ensure any debris is removed.  Do not use tap water.

Disinfection

  • Fill the lens case with solution.
  • Place the lens in the appropriate well and make sure the lens is fully immersed in the solution.
  • Seal the lens case tightly.
  • Take care not to catch the edge of the lens as you tighten the lid.
  • Repeat the cleaning, rinsing and disinfecting procedure with the other lens.
  • Leave the lenses in the cases for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Insertion

  • After insertion of the contact lenses into your eyes, discard the used solution in the lens case.
  • Rinse the lens case thoroughly with fresh solution and allow to air dry.

Storage

  • It is recommended that lenses are re-disinfected after prolonged periods of storage i.e. 7 days or more.
